Even if fans of the Final Fantasy XV video game from Square Enix were rather sad to hear that their favorite game is not getting a sequel, it seems like the developers still have something up their sleeve. No, they haven’t changed their mind, but they will continue to bring in new free updates and DLC. The latest such update is scheduled to be launched in about a week. The interesting part? It will offer the players the possibility to experience a combination of Final Fantasy XV and Assassin’s Creed. This update will resemble a crossover between the two series of video games.
When Final Fantasy meets Assassin’s Creed
So, it seems like this interesting update is going to get its official release next week. Thanks to it, Lestallum will host some kind of Assassin’s Creed Festival, which will last for a limited time. Players will be able to enjoy a large number of mini games and they will have the chance to obtain some exclusive and rare items. However, the most important part of this event might be the possibility to enjoy certain gameplay elements from Ubisoft’s series. Fans will be happy to know that among those there will be the ability to do a Leap of Faith, right in the middle of the city.
Square Enix has even released a preview trailer for this unusual event. It’s not every day that you have two of your favorite video games in one universe. It’s also interesting that among the exclusive items there will be various outfits that Noctis and his friends can wear to look like assassins. However, as the trailer shows, not all elements have been transformed to make the universe feel like the one in Assassin’s Creed. For example, at one point in the trailer, Noctis and his team run around dressed in assassin robes while other people, including Cindy, still wear their usual clothes.
An interesting initiative
Players should know that this festival will last from August 31 this year until January 31, 2018. All PlayStation 4 and Xbox players will receive the update by the end of the month. As for PC players, Final Fantasy XV will become available for them too next year. As for this update, nobody knows if they will get to experience it too.
