Asus is ready to take the lead in the smartphone market with two high-quality devices, the Zenfone 3 Zoom and Zenfone AR. According to the company’s officials, both smartphones are unique thanks to their specifications.
More precisely, the Asus Zenfone AR has the best camera, and it is the second device ever to support Google’s AR system and Tango. The first device was the Lenovo Phab2 Pro released last year, but it didn’t come with every bell and whistle.
While the Phab2 Pro was heavy and thick, the Zenfone AR is lighter and thinner. Also, it has a 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED display compared to the 6-inch screen in the Phab2 Pro. Plus, it comes with a 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution. The latest Zenfone AR features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor backed by 8 GB of RAM.
There is no other device on the smartphone market with 8GB of RAM. In addition to this, this model sports a 23-megapixel main shooter and a Sony IMX318 sensor. Other features include 4K video recording, EIS, and OIS. Furthermore, this smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat.
It’s no surprise that Asus uses Sony’s sensors because this company has produced many smartphones with impressive camera specs over the past few years. The Zenfone AR also has a motion tracking and a fisheye camera.
Based on the latest reports, the new model will be launched in the 2nd quarter of 2017. It is not known yet which will be the price tag of this device. The Zenfone 3 Zoom is another impressive smartphone recently manufactured by the tech giant.
It surpasses its predecessors from 2016 thanks to the dual-camera option. This device has a sleek design as it is not just thin but also light. More precisely, it weighs around 170g, and it is 7,83mm thin.
The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom comes with Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection. Under the hood, it has a Snapdragon SoC 625 chipset backed by a generous 5,000 mAh battery. This is the best feature of the Zenfone 3 Zoom. Unfortunately, this model will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Regarding other specs, this device is equipped with a 5.5-inch display and a 1080p resolution. Just like the Zenfone AR, it is not known how much the Zenfone 3 Zoom will cost, but it will certainly be a bit cheaper.
