Lenovo’s Miix 320 Is Both Cheap And High-Quality

Lenovo announced its latest device at Mobile World Congress. The Miix 320 will be launched in April at a price tag of just $199. According to the analysts, this Windows laptop will become a high-demand product thanks to the fact that it is both affordable and high-quality.

The most exciting feature of the Miix 320 is that this device is detachable. It is worth mentioning that the 2-in-1 feature hasn’t been introduced in Chromebooks so far, besides the models with hinges of 360 degrees.

The keyboard and the display can be separated through a magnetic joint. This laptop comes with a 10.1-inch display. In other words, it is very light so it can be used as a tablet too. Although the screen is a bit smaller compared to the 11-inch display used in standard Chromebooks, it features a 1920×1200-pixel resolution, which is much better than the 1366×768-pixel resolution found in most laptops.

Among other new features, the Miix 320 has a built-in Precision Trackpad, which can recognize some swiping and touching gestures to facilitate navigation. Connectivity is usually a bit of an issue, but the new Lenovo device comes with two USB-A ports and an USB-C port.

Nevertheless, this model has some downsides as well. First, it runs on an Intel Atom X5 processor (Cherry Trail), which is not the best thing since sliced bread. Fortunately, this CPU provides an excellent battery life of roughly ten hours after a full charge.

Even if it has a 4GB of RAM backed by 128GB of built-in storage, the users must save 20GB for Windows OS (64-bit version). In Chromebooks, you are not required to do that. It is not known yet if the Miix 320 will be good enough to challenge other Chromebooks on the market, but it will make quite an impression.

This 2-in-1 detachable device takes user experience to the next level. Plus, it is very affordable. The Miix 320 is excellent for people who travel a lot thanks to its portability. However, Lenovo is not the only company which focuses on developing a new device. Top brands, such as Apple, Samsung, and Asus, are also doing their best to come with new high-end laptops.
