The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 made its first appearance on a benchmarking site and it has many exciting features which make it better than its predecessor. The South Korean company already announced that it would release a new Galaxy A series this year.
As such, the tech giant will most likely launch the upgraded variant of the Samsung Galaxy J7 as well. Probably the best thing about the new model is that it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The J7 2017 is expected to become a high-demand product by replacing the Note 7 fiasco.
This device comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 625 processor with 2.21 GHz. Rumor has it that the new Galaxy J7 will have 2GB of RAM. The 2016 variant also has 2GB of RAM. However, it features just a 1.6GHz Snapdragon octa-core 617 processor.
Samsung fans still hope that the 2017 version will have more than 2GB of RAM. However, the new chipset is already a great improvement and a bonus. The Galaxy J7 will most likely feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display backed by a 1280 x 1080-pixel resolution.
Although the 2016 version has the same display, the new J7 comes with a better resolution. Regarding the camera features, the new device will sport a 13-megapixel main shooter and a 5-megapixel front-facing cam for selfie lovers.
In other words, there is no upgrade here, but the camera quality is excellent for a mid-range device. Nevertheless, this model might come with a minor setback on the power source. More precisely, the 2016 variant is powered by a 3300 mAh battery, whereas the J7 2017 is rumored to house just a 3000 mAh power source.
On the other hand, some analysts believe that the tech giant will at least reconsider this option and equip its new model with a more generous battery. Samsung might want to use a 3000 mAh as a precaution measure.
The company understood last year that taking risks doesn’t always end up well. Regarding other features, the J7 2016 has a 16GB of built-in storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
The Galaxy J7 2017 is expected to have an internal storage of at least 32GB. The company didn’t say when it would release the new model. Also, this mid-range device will most likely come with an average price tag.
